Drug Dosage Calculations in Health Care Level 1 drop-in (Online) Online
These drop-ins are an opportunity for you to go through questions or topics which you bring to the session, with a member of the Skills for Success maths team.
The focus is on drug dosage calculation skills which you are typically introduced to in the first year of a health care course at LSBU. This includes:
- unit conversion (e.g. converting between mg and mcg)
- calculating number of tablets
- calculating volume (mL) of medicine given by injection or orally
No booking is required: simply join using the Teams link provided at any time during the drop-in hour (preferably using your LSBU account to access the session).
Please note, this is a Q&A session - no teaching material is being delivered.
If you have a particular question, it would be helpful if you type or paste it into the comments of the Teams meeting whilst it is running. The tutor will select questions or topics to go through which they think will be of most benefit to the majority of those attending.
